What are some home remedies to cure acne?
Posted on January 23rd, 2010 7 comments
I’ve been reading up on home remedies to help get rid of acne, but everything I find suggests using ingredients I’ve never heard of…rose water, cinnamon powder, etc.
Are there any home remedies for acne that only involve everyday household items? Thanks

Hey, read this book. Trust me, I am 21 and have struggled with acne and ordered Proactiv and tried home remedies (toothpaste to dry out zits) The book is amazing, shows you what causes acne (inflammation) and helps you so much, nothing has helped me as much as this book.

This works like magic and its really easy. But i would not recommend it if your skin is dry and sensitive in winters. If you have oily skin, this is the best solution.
You need:
Salt – lots of it!
Water – half a glass
cotton – 2-3 ballsmake an over-saturated solution of salt and water. Keep putting more salt into the water, till it no longer dissolves.
Take a cotton ball and dip it into the solution. Place it over your pimple, and keep it there for 3 minutes. you’ll see the pimple’s gone. To make it not come back, take 2 more cotton balls dipped in the solution and place them on either side of the pimple for another 3 minutes.
Salt dehydrates the area around the acne and thus helps to make it vanish.
As maintenance (if you have oily skin) twice a week just run a cotton ball dipped in te solution all over your face, and leave it there for a while then wash of with normal water. This removes excess oil from the skin.
WARNING: * it might sting a little, but that’s nothing to be worried about.
* Those 3 minutes are very boring, so you could keep an iPod or something around.
* Dont let it get into your eyes! it hurts!! specially when you put the cotton, excess solution will drip from the cotton…so be sure to squeeze out as much as possible… -

Well, if you’ve never heard of cinnamon I’m not sure what you consider everyday household items. However, what you eat has an influence on your acne. Stay away from food with a lot of sugar, saturated fats, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, fried foods, nuts, milk and milk products, and oil based cosmetics for a start.
With all that, what can you eat? Lots of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables, ocean fish like tuna or salmon, tofu, pumpkin seeds, chick peas, beets, sprouts, fresh mint, fresh basil, and fresh parsley.
There are also herbal tinctures that a naturopathic physician or an herbalist can give to you to help balance your hormones and purify your body.
You can also take Vitamin A [50,000 IU a day for three days] and Zinc [45 mg a day].

First of all: Acne can be very serious and if left untreated it can scar your for life.
Secondly: Somethings are just too serious to be left to quack ‘cures’ that have little basis in fact or reality. When the ‘cures’ mentioned above fail to work, it’s YOU that will be left with the permanent scarring.
Go and see a doctor. There are many effective acne treatments that can make a massive difference. Act now and you can avoid possible lifelong damage to your skin.

Keeping the skin clean is very important in helping to control acne, as taking vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements, as wells as healthy eating and exercise habits, can be very beneficial.

Hi..
ACNE TREATMENT ?
PLEASE READ HERE>>>>>>>>>PLEASE READ HERE>>>>>>>>>PLEASE READ HERE>>>>>>>>>PLEASE READ HERE>>>>>>>>>PLEASE READ HERE>>>>>>>>>PLEASE READ HERE>>>>>>>>>PLEASE READ HERE>>>>>>>>>PLEASE READ HERE>>>>>>>>>Below are the best home remedy for acne:
Step 1Wash your face as often as possible but definitely every evening before bedtime.
While most people assume this home remedy is only for women when they remove their makeup at night, in truth it is imperative for anyone who suffers from acne. It is important to wash off any excess dirt and oils from your face that has been accumulated during the day and to give your skin a chance to breath during the night. In many cases simply washing your face every evening before retiring may be the only thing you need to do to eliminate acne if it is not too severe.
Step 2Drink More Water
One of the best ways to improve your skin at any age is to be sure you consume at least 8 glasses of water a day. This is especially true if you suffer from acne. It is one of the best ways to get rid of toxins from the inside out.
Step 3Apply Toothpaste
This is probably one of the most popular home remedies for acne that already exists. Simply apply toothpaste to acne or pimples before going to bed at night and gently wash off in the morning. Make sure it is the paste kind and not the gel. Something in the paste helps dry pimples out.
Step 4Apply Egg White
Egg White is another easy-to- use home remedy that has been known to work on drying pimples out. Simply separate an egg and using a clean finger or Q-tip, dip only in the clear part of the egg (not the yellow yolk) then apply directly to pimples. Leave overnight and gently wash off in the morning.
Step 5Use Tomato Pulp
Another effective home remedy for acne is applying fresh tomato pulp directly onto pimples and let sit for an hour before gently washing off.
Step 6Apply Vitamin E Oil
Vitamin E is great for skin when taken both internally and applied externally. You should be able to purchase Vitamin E oil from your local health store and should apply directly to skin. Also consider taking a Vitamin E supplement to improve skins overall appearance.
Step 7Surprisingly there is a lot of excitement about this strange but supposedly effective treatment. It seems that
Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment (the one with Selenium Sulfide, not Zinc) is a very effective treatment for acne. Simply put some shampoo in your hand, add a little water , lather it up a bit and apply to face. This is also supposed to be very effective regarding body acne as well.Step 8Try to Keep Your Hands Off Your Face
While this sounds like such a simple remedy it can actually be very effective. This is especially true if you work with your hands often. Without even realizing it you can be transferring dirt or some kind of chemical that your skin doesn’t like causing it to break out.
Step 9Keep you hair clean and away from your face.
If you suffer from acne on your forehead or around your hairline it could have to do with the oils in your hair. If you wear bangs, be sure to get the hair off of your face for awhile and see if the situation improves. If you normally go a few days between shampoos and have acne around your hairline try washing your hair more often or with a different product like head and shoulders. If you frequently run your hands or finger through your hair and then touch your face do your best to break that habit as well.
Step 10Keep Track of Your Diet
Once upon a time it was thought that eating chocolate or greasy foods can cause acne. It has since been discovered that there is no direct correlation between those foods and acne breakouts. That does not mean however that a proper diet does not play an important role in the physical appearance of skin. A proper balanced diet can do wonders for better looking skin.
