Why is does it cost this much to get it done?? i mean really….i bet that the laser does NOT cost much to use (not to build, to use) and the treatment could probably be done by a 10 year old. i think these people are are just really greedy.

Wow, that definitely is a lot of money. I’d give it time, still. The red may have gone away, but that doesn’t mean your skin isn’t finished healing. I found, from when I got the less-invasive procedure, that the difference was noticeable about 2 to 3 months after… when the skin started to grow back in and plump up. Let us know how it looks in another month (maybe take pics of yourself, for personal comparison).

Yes, so it looks like $1800 is the price then. The laser promoted here is called the Active FX Laser, which is a CO2 laser. I believe CO2 lasers are the most invasive to date and the most expensive, since they penetrate much deeper than other lasers. Did it hurt, Saultman? How long did it take for the red to go away?

When I spoke with the doctor at SCMS he told me that if the first treatment doesn’t do anything don’t bother with anymore. They even made a double pass on my bad area and nothing! So,I don’t know why they state if the first treatment doesn’t work to have follow ups…:(

Oh, I also forgot to mention something. Depending on how bad the scars are, you may need about 3 treatments to see a good improvement. The more invasive procedures are around $2,000 (per treatment) and have a MUCH LONGER healing time.

This is less-invasive laser treatment, since it’s a MedSpa that’s doing it. I think the average cost is $600 per treatment. Prices in California may be slightly more. Call a medical day spa in your area and check it out.
